John Norris, MD, PhD, FAAP

Associate Professor of Medical Education in Pediatrics

Dr. Norris serves as a year 1 small-group facilitator and a year 1 Clinical Skills instructor.  He also lectures in the year 2 Evidence-Based Medicine course, participates in the year 3 pediatric clerkship simulations, and the year 4 ePCL simulations.  He is a member of the Medical Partnership Simulations Oversight Committee, the Admissions Committee and the Faculty Planning Committee. 

Prior to joining the Medical Partnership, Dr. Norris worked as a private practitioner in general office pediatrics in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  His wife, Dr. Karen Norris, is a Georgia Research Alliance Eminent Scholar and the Charles H. Wheatley Endowed Chair for Immunology and Translational Biomedicine in the School of Veterinary Medicine.  They have 3 children and 1 grandchild.
