Julie K. Gaines, MLIS, AHIP, is a Full Professor and the Campus Director of the Augusta University/University of Georgia Medical Partnership Campus Library in Athens, Georgia. She has been with the Medical Partnership since 2010, playing a crucial role as a core educator for medical students by teaching Evidence-Based Medicine topics and supporting faculty, students, and staff in their learning, teaching, and research endeavors. Julie’s dedication to education and service has earned her numerous accolades, including the Michael E. DeBakey Library Services Outreach Award from the Friends of the National Library of Medicine. She holds a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of South Carolina and is a member of Beta Phi Mu, the library and information science honor society. Additionally, she is recognized as a Distinguished Member of the Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP).
